Give your child the opportunity to learn a creative life skill they can use for years to come! Our Kids Sewing Summer Camp is an exciting hands-on experience where boys and girls ages 8+ will build confidence, creativity, and independence while learning the foundations of sewing. In this small-group pioneer program, students will create fun projects to take home, learn to safely operate a sewing machine, and discover the joy of making something with their own hands. Best of all, each student receives a Janome/Elna sewing machine to take home, along with continued support beyond camp. Spaces are extremely limited with only 3 students per session!

Our Kids Sewing Summer Camp is the perfect introduction to the world of sewing for creative boys and girls ages 8 and up! This exciting pioneer program was created in response to so many parents asking for a hands-on sewing experience just for kids. Over the course of five fun-filled days, students will learn all the building blocks of sewing, including machine safety, threading, stitching techniques, fabric basics, measuring, pinning, cutting, and simple construction skills and a little embroidery. Each student will receive the use of a sewing machine during camp and enjoy plenty of guided instruction in a small-group setting with only 3 students per session for personalized attention and encouragement.

Camp runs Monday through Thursday from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM and includes a 30-minute lunch break along with two 10-minute breaks each day. Throughout the week, students will complete 8–10 fun sewing projects to take home, time permitting, helping them build confidence and creativity with every stitch. The camp fee includes a Janome/Elna sewing machine for each student that belongs to them. In addition to learning foundational sewing skills during camp, students and parents will continue to receive support and instruction on how to use and care for their machine beyond the classes. Whether your child is brand new to sewing or eager to learn more, this camp is designed to inspire imagination, teach valuable life skills, and create a memorable summer experience!

On the first day we will learn about machine safety, we will decorate machines with stickers, learn the tools of the trade, sewing terms and a fun stitches and practice.  

Projects: Book Cover, Key fob, placemat, quilted pot holder, car organizer for kids, pillow case, bowl cozy, zipper pencil pouch, shell collecting beach bag, and a book accessory pouch.
